Pastor Derek originally hails from Russell, Kansas and moved to Tennessee for work in 1999. He has been married to his wife, Ronda, for 25 years. They have four kids: Rachel (married to Caleb), Sydney (married to Steven), Abbey, and Ian. He is also “Grumps” to his grandson, Daktoa. Derek visite The Axis by invitation from a trusted friend, and joined staff as an elder a few years later. Pastor Derek has a MA in Christian Ministries/Church Leadership from Southern Seminary. His favorite restaurant is Lost Cajun, which is sadly closed.
